Jason Lee Byrd
It is an honor and a privilege to be an award recipient of “A Circle of Twelve”. I would like to thank all of you for affording me the opportunity to become a stronger pillar in the Los Angeles community by aiding me in reaching the goal of becoming a Certified Personal Fitness Instructor.
Residents of low-income neighborhoods have higher rates of obesity but little expendable income. With the credentials I gain, through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, I will be able to present options to those who want assistance but can’t afford the high cost of personal training. I will be able to offer high quality services at a cost that will be reasonable for anyone wishing to become fit.
First Lady Michelle Obama has made it her agenda, through her “Let’s Move” campaign, to combat childhood obesity by assuring that our children have, and learn how to make, healthy choices. A part of making healthy choices is “healthy role modeling”. I will be playing an active role in challenging Childhood Obesity by helping parents and other members of the community become stronger examples of health and fitness to and for our children.
Thank you “A Circle of Twelve”...
In Gratitude,
Jason Lee Byrd
